Gender Affirming Care
Gender Affirming Psychotherapy Services
We are proud to work with all members of the LGBTQIA+ community on their journeys. We have clinicians who receive ongoing specific training working with transgender, non-binary, and gender expansive individual and follow the informed consent model for gender affirmative care. We have multiple clinicians who have been full members of WPATH for years and constantly strive to improve our education in affirming transgender healthcare.
Gender Affirming Letter Writing/Referrals
We offer letter writing for support and advocacy for the transgender community for coordination of care with medical providers. All of our clinicians follow the
WPATH Standards of Care 8. We also refer to gender affirming medical care.
GR Pride Center and Stand with Trans Youth Group
Separate from River City Psychological Services, Axel Hettinger and Jonelle Tunney run a Trans/Non-Binary Support Group for youth ages 13 through 17 on the second Thursday of every month through the GR Pride Center and Stand with Trans organizations.
