Kaitlyn Anderson, MA
Hi there! My name is Kaitlyn (she/her), and I'm so glad you're looking into therapy! I believe that everyone can benefit from therapy and should have access to a therapist they trust. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I understand how difficult it can be to find clinicians in the community and/or allied clinicians. That is why I prioritize creating a safe, trauma-informed space for my clients where they can share and be heard. In my office, I am equal to my clients and provide feedback from a compassionate outlook. I mainly use a Cognitive Behavioral approach, which means together we will analyze your thought and behavior patterns and notice where improvements are desired. Some of my specialties are Gottman method couples counseling and trauma-informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I enjoy working with adults and teens.

I graduated with my bachelor’s degree from Central Michigan University in 2019, and from Oakland University with my master’s in clinical mental health counseling. In my personal time, I like to read, ride my bike, and hang out with my two cats, Moonpie and Clove.
