Dr. Nicole Olivas, PhD (she/her) is a licensed psychologist who is dedicated to providing high-quality psychological and neuropsychological assessments, as well as individual and group therapy services, to clients ranging in age and background. She aims to provide services that help individuals lead happier and more fulfilling lives.


Dr. Olivas’ passion for mental health stems from her desire to make a positive impact in her community. She is committed to creating a safe and supportive environment where clients can feel heard, understood, and empowered. She works collaboratively with her clients to develop personalized treatment plans that are tailored to their unique needs and goals. Her warm and empathetic approach helps clients feel safe and comfortable sharing their thoughts and feelings, and she provides guidance and support throughout the therapeutic and/or assessment process.

Dr. Olivas is passionate about making the assessment process accessible and understandable for everyone. She believes that a thorough assessment can provide valuable diagnostic clarity and treatment recommendations. Dr. Olivas works closely with each client to ensure that the assessment process is focused on their goals and that the steps following the assessment are feasible and easily understood. She strives to provide services that allow clients to make informed decisions about their care.


Dr. Olivas earned her doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Colorado State University, where she developed a strong foundation in evidence-based therapies. She has worked in various university counseling and community mental health settings, providing comprehensive care to individuals and groups. Dr. Olivas has a particular interest in working with children, teens, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, relational problems, identity development concerns, and multicultural issues.


Dr. Olivas understands that each client is unique, and she works closely with her clients to develop a personalized treatment plan that addresses their specific needs and concerns. She utilizes a range of therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), psychodynamic approaches, and emotion regulation. She is also skilled in person-focused therapy and interpersonal processing, which help individuals develop meaningful connections and navigate complex social dynamics. She prioritizes and recognizes the importance of building a strong therapeutic relationship based on trust and empathy.
