Life can be difficult and sometimes we find ourselves feeling stuck, stressed, and lost. Dr. Micah White (he/him) believes therapy can be an excellent tool to help us take stock of ourselves and our experiences, charting a healthier and more meaningful path forward. He aims to provide an affirming, nonjudgmental, and compassionate environment in order to help people authentically explore themselves and grow. In his work, Micah strives to help people explore the impact of past experiences, understand unhelpful patterns in their thinking and relationships, process painful emotions, and learn new skills to cope with their distress. Micah’s approach to therapy is grounded in relational, cognitive-behavioral, and mindfulness-based approaches. To best serve those he works with, he is continually learning about and seeking ways to implement research- supported strategies in his work. Most importantly, Micah values treating each person he works with as an individual, respecting their unique background and identities.
