Psychotherapy Services

The counselors, psychologists and social workers at River City Psychological Services provide both short-term and long-term psychotherapy for adults, adolescents, and children. We also offer couple’s and family therapy. Our clinicians have had advanced training and experience working with concerns related to trauma, abuse survivors, depression and anxiety, relationship concerns, grief, LGBTQIA+ concerns, and the intersection of psychological and faith/spirituality concerns. We also provide supervision, consultation, and therapy to mental health practitioners.

Additionally, we offer psychological testing and evaluation, including ADHD and learning disability evaluation. Our thorough documentation meets the standards that many schools, universities, and physicians have set for accommodations. We offer letter writing for support and advocacy for the transgender community for coordination of care.

Psychotherapy offers people the working space needed to gain insight into their relational and behavioral patterns. In the collaborative relationship with a psychotherapist, people have the opportunity to explore where these patterns come from and how they are maintained. The insight gained in psychotherapy allows people to gain strength and freedom to make decisions about whether to change and begin new ways of being.
