Stevie Mezní, MSW

Hi, I’m Stevie (they/them), a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW). I identify as a queer therapist and provide affirming care for LGBTQIA+ clients. I work with adolescents, young adults, and adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, and relationship challenges. I help people reconnect with who they are beneath survival strategies, shame, and expectations, and build a life that feels more stable, intentional, and aligned.
My work integrates DBT, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, and EMDR. I am certified in DBT and fully trained in EMDR, and I balance practical skill building with deeper trauma work based on what you need. I have a strong interest in providing EMDR to adolescents, and I also offer DBT coaching and group work to help build real world tools for emotional regulation, relationships, and managing ADHD.
I approach therapy through an attachment and trauma informed lens. I don’t just focus on symptoms—I look at the patterns underneath them, especially how past experiences shape the way you relate to yourself and others. Sessions with me are direct, collaborative, and grounded. I will challenge patterns that keep you stuck, while also making sure you feel supported enough to actually do something different.
I also work with couples and families on a self pay basis, focusing on communication, conflict, and building more functional, secure relationships. I have experience supporting clients through perinatal and postpartum transitions, including identity shifts, mood changes, and the emotional complexity that can come with this stage of life.
I earned my B.A. in History in 2010 and my MSW in 2015 from the University of Southern California. I completed my clinical supervision in a community mental health setting, which continues to shape a practical, systems aware approach to my work. I continue to pursue ongoing training in trauma informed and evidence-based practices.
