Margaret.jpg

Margaret (she/her) is a licensed clinical social worker dedicated to helping people find healing and growth at their pace and comfort level. Margaret knows the value of the relationship built together in therapy and strives to create a space of acceptance, trust, and safety. While starting therapy can often be a vulnerable and intimidating step, she works to collaboratively set goals and walk alongside each person on their path to
healing.

Margaret specializes in treating those who have experienced trauma at any age. She also works with children, adolescents, and young adults working through anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, and life transitions. Margaret draws from different modalities to create a personalized approach to each person and family but centers herself on a trauma-informed and strengths-based perspective.

Margaret received her bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Grand Valley State University and her Master of Social Work from Western Michigan University. She is trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She draws on experience in a variety of roles working with families and systems in child welfare, foster care, adoption, and survivors of sexual abuse, as well as private practice with outpatient mental health counseling. Margaret is committed to creating an affirming and inclusive space for members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
