Lauren Anderson Sprague, MSW

Lauren Anderson Sprague (she/her), LCSW, LMSW, is a clinical social worker with over 15 years of experience working with adults navigating anxiety, trauma, and complex life transitions. Originally from the Chicago area, she began her career as a medical social worker, shaping her grounded, practical, and relational approach to care.
Lauren is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) through EMDRIA and takes a trauma-informed, evidence-based approach to treatment. She integrates EMDR, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and somatic-focused interventions to help clients better understand and shift longstanding patterns, build insight, and develop effective strategies for managing stress and emotional overwhelm.
She has experience working with adults across the lifespan, including those experiencing high stress, caregiver burnout, and complex trauma, and has a background in substance use treatment. Lauren is committed to providing affirming, inclusive care and works with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including LGBTQIA+ clients and those with involvement in the legal system.
Lauren earned her master’s degree in social work from Loyola University Chicago and is licensed in both Michigan and Illinois. Her style is thoughtful, collaborative, and tailored to the individual.
She strives to create a space that is steady, grounded, and genuinely human—where meaningful work can happen, and where there is room for both depth and occasional humor along the way.
